No. Checkr Trust's navigation lists three product lines, and Driver Checks is one of them. We sell no motor vehicle, driving record or DMV check, and there is nothing adjacent to one in our catalog. If a driving record is a required step in your program, that settles it, and nothing else on this page changes the answer.

It depends which industry. Their navigation lists nine: caregiving, financial institutions, insurance, online dating, ridesharing, short-term rentals, tenant screening, vehicle rental and sharing, and visitor management systems. We publish six: short-term rentals, marketplaces, mobility, iGaming, fintech and crypto. Short-term rentals is the one head-on match. For caregiving, insurance, online dating, tenant screening and visitor management they have published work aimed at your use case and we have published none. What we can put in front of a review is the SOC 2 Type II report, a price list anyone can read without asking us, and a free account your own team can run real screenings through before anything is signed.

A screening is one person checked, and you pay for the checks that ran on that person. Identity verification is $0.75, watchlist screening is $1.00, US criminal background is $5.00, a global criminal check is $2.00 and document signing is $0.50. Collecting applicant information and adding your own form questions carry no charge. An account opens with $5 in free credit that lasts 14 days, with no card.

A verification is created for that guest, with its own link. If your reservation system is one we connect to, the booking creates the verification and emails the guest the link without you touching it. If it is not, you add the guest in the dashboard and either have us send the email or copy the link and send it the way you already contact guests. The link opens in a browser, so there is nothing for the guest to install, and you can see the date it expires.

They open the link, confirm their own name, and give the date of birth and address that the checks you turned on need. Then they photograph a government ID, and take a selfie too if you turned that on. You can add your own questions on a single screen, and a document for them to read and sign by typing their name. If they started on a laptop, they can scan a code on the screen and finish the ID photos on their phone.

Nothing happens to the booking on its own. We do not cancel it, refund it or message the guest about it. A verification that needs a person to look at it goes to a review queue in the dashboard, with what was collected in front of whoever opens it, and they approve it or decline it with a reason from a fixed list. A decline sends the guest a written notice of the decision and how to dispute it.

No. Choosing which checks run, adding a guest and sending the link are all done in the dashboard. There is a connector that creates the verification straight from a new reservation for the property systems we connect to, and an API for teams that want one, but none of that is needed to run your first check.

Yes. Our platform runs an MCP server, so an agent can build a template, start a verification, send the applicant link and read the result back without anyone opening the console. The documentation has its own MCP server, and that one needs no account at all.

The US and the EU are separate regions, and data for an EU customer stays in the EU one. There is no copying between them, and every applicant record is encrypted at rest under a key held for that one customer.
